Closing of
DI parental payment

– transition to DA maternity leave as of 1 October 2025

What is happening?

The Danish Maternity Fund (DI Maternity Leave) will close on 30 September 2025.Your company will then be covered by DA Maternity from 1 October 2025..

This will result in changes to both reporting and payment and thus to the setup of the payroll system..

What do you need to do?

SETUP IN THE PAYROLL SYSTEM

Reporting and payment of the contribution to DA Maternity Leave can be done automatically through your payroll system.

A new quarterly Nets file with specific information must be delivered per employee

  • Collaborative agreement / Non-collaborative agreement
  • Seniority (Reimbursement only after 9 months of employment)
  • Age Age (Reimbursement is not granted for employees under 18 years of age)
  • Student/apprentice status
  • ATP contribution
  • Company CVR number
  • Payroll system identification

NOTE: Managing directors with more than 50% ownership do not have to report

DEADLINES FOR REPORTING AND PAYMENT

  • January 20
  • April 14
  • July 14
  • October 14

Alternatively, reporting can be done manually at www.dabarsel.dk and payment via payment card or online banking www.dabarsel.dk. og betalingen via betalingskort eller netbank

REFUND FROM DA BARSEL

  • The reimbursement from DA Barsel is automatically paid to the company’s NemKontowhen the company has applied for maternity benefits from Udbetaling Danmark
  • Reimbursements are paid quarterly retroactively last banking day of the month after the end of the quarter
  • First refund for the period Q4 2025 will be paid at the end of January 2026.
  • The refund can be followed in detail at www.dabarsel.dk..

TO ACCESS DA BARSEL YOU MUST:

  1. Log in to www.dabarsel.dk. with MitID Erhverv
  2. Create a company administrator
  3. Sign a declaration of allegiance (link sent by email)

Especially in the case of a company transfer:

When transferring employees, it is important to inform DA Barsel so that seniority is transferred correctly. Otherwise, you risk that DA Barsel counts seniority from the date of transfer.
